About the Chef

Gerry Gannon

Johnson&Wales UniversityGerry Gannon was born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and at a early age realized that his love for food preparation would be a career.  After working in several local restaurants during his high school years, he chose to go to Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island majoring in Culinary Arts.

After graduation Chef Gannon worked his way up the culinary ranks, working as a line cook in upscale Chester County Hotels, before becoming Executive Banquet Chef in a prestigious downtown Philadelphia hotel. After a few years in the banquet department he became Executive Chef of Riddle Village, an upscale retirement home. He then moved on to become the Executive Chef of a Philadelphia Airport area hotel, and after years of being in the kitchen he wanted to help other chefs and restaurants in the area. Chef Gannon was contacted and hired by SYSCO Food Services of Philadelphia to become one of their marketing associates, to help consult restaurant owners on menu trends as well as help with managing food cost. It was during his time at SYSCO that he created Culinary Classics Catering, a full service caterer specializing in wedding and private parties.

As the business grew, Culinary Classics Catering expanded as Gerry came up with the idea of bringing his cooking expertise to the homes of the hard working people in the Delaware Valley.  It was with this idea that Culinary Classic Personal Chef Service was born.   Chef Gannon now oversees the kitchen, Menu and all food services and helps manage the catering business with his father and family members.
